Crafty Charity Castaways?

Why not combine a charity collection drive with a fun creative activity session? By collecting bread bag tags and other recyclable waste, schools can not only introduce the idea of giving to charity to their pupils, but can at the same time collect resources for a variety of school art projects. As long as the collected resources are in a suitable condition for the end purpose and are sent off by a stated deadline why not kill two birds with one stone? Castaway Characters can be made without glues or paints and can be taken apart and made into something else. If a hole punch is used, the plastic from the hole can still be sent for recycling with the rest of the collected plastic. The "Make Me" photo instructions added to this site and labelled as such, show how to make some of the Castaway Characters. Go on, be a bit crafty ~ for  charity.
