COCOA - for real Castaways in China

Bread bag tag collectors, or any other charity-minded individuals, may be interested in helping some real castaway characters in China. COCOA is a British-based charity that aims to help castaway children in China. Due to a combination of traditional values and political policy, many Chinese girls are abandoned by their families in favour of boys. The extra value placed on boys by society, plus the one-child policy means that many parents hope their first-born and only child is a male rather than a female. Disappointed families are sometimes forced to abandon the girls.  This is where the charity COCOA steps in.
